The little timber extension is a bold experimentation in timber. It adds life to this otherwise plain and homogenous terrace housing area. Apart from the structure and walls, the roof is also made out of timber. The roof is made of Chengal, the mullions of merbau, the walls of Balau and the floor out of Kempas. Kempas from recycled tnb poles were cut to make the floor boards and were sanded down very fine and left unfinished. Natural oil from human feet later produced a pleasant looking sheen on the floor board. rengas, a reddish color timber specie was used to make the TV console. The center piece of a log was cut out and built up using dove tail joints
